You don't have to know someone to look at them and think "hey, what a hottie."

Not saying love at first sight, but that glance certainly says interested to me.

Without a doubt Sherlock found John interesting enough to go and look at a flat with him...

It definitely is, Mattlocked. People usually bore him to death, and even if they aren't all that boring or unbearable to him - he'd never share a flat with them. John is the one great exception - wonder why.
