It's not a hundred percent confirmed yet apparently, since the link which announced it has vanished in the meantime, but cumberbatchweb posted earlier that TIG looks to be the choice for the opening night gala of the London Film Festival this year, which'd be on October 8.
If it does happen and BC will be there, it's possible he'll do a bit of "red-carpeting"- just be there really early if you're going (especially if it's in Leicester Square, since there isn't that much space and everything is quite cramped).

You know, a part of me was secretly worried that this Film might not live up to all the hype.
But - and I know it's only a small clip - it looks like it might well be bloody fantastic!

Looks like a pretty strong cast too! Mark Strong, Charles Dance (who looked like his Vetinari/Tywin was slipping through at some points 
) but BEN. WOW. That transformation! The way he walks, the way he squares his expression, and that ACCENT. And that heart-wrenching scene...
