Yes. I love all these subtle ways of telling us that this is not the real thing for John. When they are alone he either
- talks about Sherlock
- dreams of Sherlock
- is angry with Mary
- behaves awkwardly
- stands at Sherlock's grave

...and tries to propose to Mary but just can't get the words out. I bet that even if Sherlock hadn't turned up John never would have finished with his proposal that evening.
And then we have this:

Plus: Think of where he has his hand when dreaming of Sherlock ...

In that case, Schmiezi, I'll stop complaining and just enjoy being in such wonderful company.
And now I'll go and dream of John and Sherlock and shirts and unbuttoning shirts and shirts suddenly lying on the floor beside Sherlock's bed and....

I just posted this in the Benedict Picture Thread, but I think it has to go here, as well.
Because seriously... that look on his face! He wants his parents to leave as fast as possible. I mean, he wants them to leave as fast as possible anyway, but now with John in the room... come on!! He waited for John to show up, he wanted John to show up in 221B so badly... and now he's there and Sherlock just wants to be alone with him and look at him and... aaawwwhhh!

Okay, HOW you explained it ... I just HAVE to agree with you.
(Though I wrote something different in the picture thread. )
