Which thread is that Susi?  I think I might like it.

Really? Did you guys watch a different episode? The UNCUT Johnlock version or something??

Every episode is a Johnlock episode.

Re: a question to those who dislike mary

I'd rather see Sherlock and John together without any woman.

Yeah, the majority of people definitely expected her to die in Series 3, myself included.

I had not thought of it in that way.  Can certainly see that being a factor.

Re: a question to those who dislike mary

I think some people wanted her dead.

Re: a question to those who dislike mary

I think many people expected her to die as this happens in ACD. And there had been some rumours. But as for the question - no, I do not dislike Mary because she survived series 3. That would be a bit easy. I have explained elsewhere and in detail why I cannot excuse her actions as a character.

Btw, this is quite an interesting comparison:

I already wondered why they interwove the "idyllic" Christmas scene with the dark Baker Street scene but this makes perfect sense to me. It very much undermines the forgiveness as we are constantly reminded of what happened between the three of them.

Re: a question to those who dislike mary

What a cool comparison. They make John and Sherlock's relationship so much more dramatic. So very perplexing..
I really want Mary dead. Very much so. Idk if it'll happen, Moffat loves to be unpredictable.
Yes, I forgive everything moriarty does. Even the blind lady. He's a very lovable villain.. and so cute! He's always improving the plot and setting Sherlock up to do great things.
I think Mary gives the writers a lot more flexibility in future seasons- she definately makes things more complicated and we could end up with more interesting Sherlock/John moments with her. We could have gone without her and had a great show, but I feel like her introduction really adds a dimension- more plot, more relationships, more characters (watson's daughter). I'm glad they're building on top of the bromance in a revolutionary way, instead of rehashing John and Sherlock's chemistry from the past two seasons. I have faith in their ability to write relationships well. I think with this ground work they can do what they did in the first seasons in a new and surprising way.
