I'm really sorry to hear that it still doesn't work.

I actually got an email from them today, in response to my inquiry to team support yesterday. They said that they'd issued my invites already, once back in Nov. 2011 and once the other day. None of which I received. Weird. But anyway, I followed the prompt and signed up and should be all set to go within 24 hours, when I get my confirmation email. Thanks everyone!

"One Week" by Jane Turenne: Holmes and Watson make a wager as to who has stronger powers of resistance, and then spend a week trying various gambits to seduce each other: serenading (for Holmes); telling their explicit dreams; dressing up in outfits the other likes (Holmes nearly passes out when he sees Watson in military garb), BUT - it's a perfectly-established relationship and they're totally comfortable with each other. I think Jane must have been trying to get the UST and seduction without the angst that often comes with not-yet-established:

Thank you, this sounds very good. I like good Canon slash (and there is not too much around).

earlygreytea68 has finished her Olympic figure skating/hockey johnlock AU, and it's a pretty good read. I had a few problems with it here and there, since I happen to know a lot more about figure skating and what's involved at competitions than most people would. But it's a lovely romance, just a teeny bit of angst (no one could ever accuse her of overdoing the angst!), the sex (alas....) is PG-13. I liked it enough to rec it here, even though I wish every aspect of the story had had more "bite".

mildredandbobbin's "On the Other Side", a post-season 3 story. Her warnings say that in this story, "Mary is not a good person," but I didn't see any of that; Mary was the same person as in the show. But anyhoo, this is a wonderful johnlock romance, so well done, showing the tough road they have trying to get together, trying to get over their own pasts, together and separately. I really enjoyed this read, and the sex is mature-rated but not porny, my favorite. Lots of love and lots of forever.

I finished Working on the Edges and I loved it (like almost every sport AU fic). It's true that if you know a lot about figure skating (I often watch it and I know a lot about the rules), you have to overlook some things (quad axel for example) but I didn't mind it.
I'd like to recommend this beautiful short fic (warning: it's sad): Road Not Taken by theimprobable1:

Did she remove it? Or is it because I'm not logged in? It says there are no works from Mildredandbobbin.....

I remember, there was a lock symbol beside the title. Did not know about that. Hope you can read it somehow. Can I send it to you somehow?

The epub version? Via email?

Or I can send you an invitation. This fic is the reason tonnaree joined AO3, I think. It's wonderful and intense.

Membership is for free? And I can become a member without publishing?

Sure!
Wait, I'll ask for the code to send you an invitation. It may take two days or so but is still faster than applying on your own.
Edit: Done. I've ordered more than one code BTW. If anyone would like to get an invitation too, please contact me. I will need your mail adress which I will give to AO3. They will send you a link then.
