Boardhost have introduced Spoiler tags to our forum, which means we no longer have to have special spoiler topics or to warn people in capitals or put tons of dots so that people have to scroll right to the bottom of your post to see the spoiler, we can just hide it.
It's pretty simple too. Just write:
[ spoiler ] (but without the spaces)
In front of the section of text that's spoilerish. Then, when you're finished, write:
[ / spoiler ] (again, without the spaces)
It produces a box which people have to click on to view the actual spoiler.

Great idea! I cannot see though what exactly to write and how to end it.
Is it a bb code spoiler tag with square brackets?
Cross.
As I thought. Simple and good

Huh…. iiiinteresting! Especially in what instances would be good to use them… some threads themselves I can still see being spoilery by nature as a whole, and mentioned in title, but this is great for just bits here and there. Thanks!
Ha… and leave it to you guys to quickly turn it straight into a laugh.

Harriet, I know other forums where in some threads people have almost all of their conversations in such spoiler boxes. It might eventually get a bit complicated when you start to quote people who wrote in spoiler tags and you want your own post to be only partially in a spoiler box.
But
so it's better to use a spoiler box here and there
if you know what I mean.
