John: "Actually, I've uh, got a date."
Sherlock: "What?"
John: "It's where two people who like each other go out and have fun."
Sherlock: "That's what I was suggesting."

Re: Favourite moments

I love the moment at the pool when Sherlock thanks John for trying to save him by getting hold of Moriarty. I'll be off again in some minutes and couldn't find the exact words, but you know what I mean. Something like "What you did then … that was good."  .

Re: Favourite moments

Yeah, Susi. And it was Sherlock who couldn't find the right words. He's not used to thanking people or acknowledging other people's good actions . We love Sherlock's litte learning and growing moments, don't we?

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen the pilot yet, stop now.

I loved Sherlock pretending to be drunk and knocking on the cabbie's window. In fact, it was about the only pilot moment that caught my eye over A Study in Pink.

Oh, yes, we do. As in the Christmas scene and when he apologises to John in Baskerville. Well, sort of apologises, but as you said, he's learning and growing  .

Really, strange sort of apologies)), especially by making a cup of coffee just for an experiment).

SusiGo, your avatar is great! I like that PBS interview and have watched it many times. But I do not exactly remember that moment. To what saying does he make this 'hot' movement?

Re: Favourite moments

Cannot tell.... there are so many tiny little moments....
Quite fresh in my mind now: I'm in shock, look, I'm wearing a blanket!  But that is one of the bigger moments already, isn't it?

I like all the moments when Ben gets this crosswise wrinkles over his nose... I didn't see this at anyone before - or maybe I just seen, but didn't observe.

And I like the moment when the music starts at the beginning of each episode. (Not so much when it's at the end... )

Re: Favourite moments

221B, sorry, I don't know. I guess I'll have to watch it all over again. I mean, I don't want to, but now I'll have to  . Some minutes later: I just had a look at the interview and must inform you that I think he's just scratching himself. Sorry, no sexy gesture but a simple itch  .

Re: Favourite moments

Hm... if I remember (and understood) right the lady next to him (don't have all the names fixed in my mind-palace) said something that she loved the blanket-scene most - and then he did this "woo!"-thing?

Re: Favourite moments

Shame on me *deep red in the face from pure embarrassment*. But, yes, it's a great moment and now I like it even more. But don't worry, I'm not going to change my avatar to the photo with the sock  .

Er, it's the second on the page. And if that's not enough in this hot and sticky weather, I may redirect you to the "Damned hot Cumberbatch" thread in the BC section.

I guess I should let you all in on it: It's a secret signal (to me) that he is actually Sherlock pretending to be this Cumbrebatch guy until it's safe for all for him to reappear.

Making us jealous or what?

Re: Favourite moments

One of my favourite John moments in TBB:
Patiently putting up with Sherlock's torrent of words after the both of them have bumped into each other on Shaftesbury Avenue:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John: "Have you spoken to Mycroft, Molly, uh, anyone?"
Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

I BELIEVE IN SERIES 5!

Re: Favourite moments

Haha yeah, right before he says "it's that one over there" and Sherlock's like "how can you tell?"
