KP, wonderful, just wonderful! And since this practically was your first attempt and you were lucky right away, I'm sure you'll see him again! It seems that on twitter some people do announce in advance where the set will be the following day(s), so I'm sure it shouldn't be difficult to be at the right place at the right time.

Wow, KP, you're so lucky! There's happiness and excitement coming from your post and I'm smiling to my computer. What a wonderful story This man just brings happiness wherever he goes
Since they will be filming for a long time, good luck in the future!

Hmmmmm. Google maps says it takes 16 hours to drive from Atlanta to Boston.
But I bet they calculate that as obeying the speed limits.

I've done the bulk of that route many times in both directions. If you leave in the evening and drive through the night to avoid traffic, you could make it in about 12 hours.
The trick is to NOT follow Google Map's directions as you do not want to go through Philly, DC, and Baltimore at any time of day. Take the route that goes north at Charlotte. Google Maps claims it's a couple of extra hours, but it's not.
I look forward to your report.
Mary

Tonnaree, you can stay at my place. I'll call in sick to work with galloping pneumonia or something like that and then we'll run all over Boston looking for Ben! LOL
I did hear that they will be filming in Lynn next week, recreating the annual South Boston St. Patrick's Day parade (a huge controversial Southie event every year because the parade runners always try to exclude gay pride groups from marching). Now Lynn is sort of my old stomping grounds because my family's business used to be located there. An uglier city it would be very hard to find but probably perfect for the film. . My step-daughter lives there. Might just have to go pay her a visit.
You know, I've been thinking back to my day seeing Ben. The whole thing was just perfect except for one teeny, tiny little thing. It would have been nice if he had glanced across the street and then declared loudly, "That mature, yet gorgeously compelling woman standing over there in the flowered shirt and orange hat! I must have her! Bring her to me!"
Now that would have been perfect!

Now that is a sight I'd loved to have seen... twitter would have exploded with pics of two security guys escorting you over to Benedict...

I am Lord Cumberbatch of London and this woman is now mine.
PS. Oh KP, don't tempt me.

Just found out the "parade" re-creation tomorrow in Lynn is right on the street where my family business used to be. (It was a high end candy company - but sadly no longer there). Really, really tempted now to call in sick tomorrow and head down there. I know all the side streets so parking and finding the place won't be a problem. Hmmm...weather is supposed to be perfect too. 80 degrees Celsius and sunny. (Actually that's going to be an interesting dilemma. The real St. Patrick's parade is in March so everyone should be wearing coats and jackets to be realistic. The main actors will be watched over but all the extras could get pretty uncomfortable.)
Playing Billy Bulger, a Boston politician, Ben should be marching right up in front of this whole thing, waving and smiling to the crowds. Oh lord, I'd love to see that! Really, really tempted......

If you do go again I will wish you all the luck in the world for a chance like that again!

Ooh this is exciting! To think that by this time tomorrow we might be seeing pics and hearing stories of Benedict actually filming stuff - it feels like it's been so long!
Anyone who goes - good luck! Remember you're on a mission for all of us who can't be there! Report back with goodies
