Another fan from Germany
Hello everybody, here is another Sherlock fan from Germany!
I watched the first two seasons on german tv in 2011 and 2012 and really liked the series, found it very smart, clever, fresh and original. But I couldn´t quite understand all the hype especially about Benedict. In preparation for season 3 I decided to watch the reruns on german tv, but they aired really late, so I had to tape them. One time there hadn´t been the whole show on tape and I searched the internet for the episode to see the end. I only found the episode in the original english version and now I´m totally hooked and understand why everybody loves Benedict so much. I ordered all three seasons on dvd and have already watched season 1 and 2 in the original version.
And I found this forum, what a wonderful place, so many nice and respectful fans, so much to read about, to learn about the series, to discuss and explore in a new fandom, I´m really looking forward to spend some time here!!

. And don't worry - when I saw Benedict for the first time (in War Horse) my first thought was "This actor has a really long face" xD And after half year this sentence evolved to "Ooo he is so handsom and talented"

Welcome to the forum and have a great time here, it's good to have you with us! 
I'm sure you will find out there are quite a few German fans here who made the same experience when it comes to finally watching the show in the original version. It's like watching a different show - and of course there's Benedict's voice.

Thank you all so much for the nice welcome!!
It´s interesting that many of you made the same experience with the original version and Benedict´s voice. I never expected to change my opinion from finding him only average looking to super attractive only by getting to know his voice, but that´s how it worked!

It was similar to me. Watched 1 and 2 at ARD, liked it, but not more.
Watched 3 in english because I didn't want to wait... Totally hooked and also Benaddicted....
