Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

So, Mofftiss has taken the canon separation of Holmes and Watson and turned it on it’s head. Instead of domestic bliss, John is bored and stroppy. Instead of a sweet wife who consumes all his attention, Mary is an assassin. Instead of Watson barely noticing Holmes’ absence in his life, John is dreaming of him, thinking about him constantly, talking to Mary about him until she’s openly annoyed about it.

This is the choice of the writers.  This is what they wanted us to see.  Everything they do has a purpose.

Yes. If they change things like Mary's character (and maybe also Moriarty's fate) so fundamentally, they can change other things as well.

I've been saying this for months now. Years, maybe. We viewer-fans are like marionettes on strings, being manipulated by very clever writers, and not only that, those writers know exactly what they're doing. The more we howl and discuss and argue and plead (with each other and with them) about what we see, the happier they are, and the more they congratulate themselves on accomplishing what they set out to accomplish.

Indeed. If Mary Morstan can be a killer, Sherlock and John can be a couple.

Damn right. Preach it. I'll believe it when I see it, but go ahead and preach it anyway!

Ok, the thought of John making that little "Aaaah" noise makes me *squee* real hard.

Not sure, Susi. It might be responded to along the well known lines of :" Sorry, just don't see that..."

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Very nice link, Susi. I especially like it because I can relate to the author saying that she had noticed all of these things on her own, without having read anything about it. I certainly hadn't noticed all of it before I started to do, you know, all this Johnlock stuff... but to me the show especially appealed because I almost immediately realized that there was something going on between Sherlock and John.
So I can only agree with the author, we don't need meta to tell us all these things, because they are there, for everyone to see. But it's... nice to read what other people see and what they think about it. Scientific research at its best.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

I think there a good and bad metas. Some things I read are really far-fetched but there are others that are just brilliant. And they made me notice things I had not seen (or observed) before.

Yes, I agree. And they can give you an impulse to think about certain things in a new light. And of course, it's a lot of fun.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Wonderful and so true. When it comes to love and especially her love for John, Mary only talks about it when it's about defending herself in HLV. Those two men, on the other hand...
