But it helps that you will have beautiful Crete around you - I envy you so!
Have a great time!

Thank you.
It doesn't hurt that much to be honest. I prefer the original version anyway.

Right, Crete is waiting for me. Well ... not right now already, but on Sunday morning I am going to leave my sweet home for two weeks. There seems to be an Internet connection but I don't know how it will be and how often I can show up here. Hopefully I can cope with it not being in here all day. Hard times are coming. Certainly gonna miss you.
OK, I am officially envious to the max. That sounds like a really nice way to spend 2 weeks. Have fun, we'll miss you too.

Have a lovely time. I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Crete. Are you planning to visit Knossos? Have a meses and a retsina or ouzo (yuck) for me.

Thank you, ladies. Don't have any concrete plans, what we will visit there. So ...

We made a hike through the Samariá Gorge. It was fun, beautiful landscape but also sore muscles afterwards . Have fun gently, Crete is great, one of the best holidays I had in the last couple of years.

And remains the only place I've really had a ' room with a view'.
Well, from a hotel at least.
My son't flat looks straight on to the Alps.

Austria? Switzerland? How does your son happen to live in that part of Europe, bb? Just me being nosy, feel free to ignore the question. :-)

I guessed two Alpine countries and forgot about Italy! I've seen that area on TV, it's gorgeous. Have you been to visit?
