Re: Chelsea Flower Show

Everything you guys already said.  I'm melted.
I believe he says 'sit thee down, mother'….. although adorably funny to imagine it 'sitty' like Sherlock!!     Man, although I wish it was easier to catch everything that low, quick-talking lovely voice says.  ;P  When they're talking (in front of one display area, with the driftwood things) about the use of the limited space and something about organic/wildly flowing versus more organized, I think? and he say what would be romantic?  What were they describing about it?   Thanks so much to anyone who doesn't mind filling in.

Just this morning you were all tiny and small and made of clay!

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.

Re: Chelsea Flower Show

It was Mummy trying to persuade Benedict he could fit a bit of driftwood in his small roof terarce, as it would be very romantic and he agreed it would be...tho said the terrace was too small!

That hat's a bit too small for him though.

Re: Chelsea Flower Show

I'm not sure if someone gave him that at the show?
I caught just a glimpse of last nights coverage and there were loads of guys walking around in hats just like it!!

Re: Chelsea Flower Show

I don't know if it's just me but I felt a bit intrusive watching the clip.  It's just a bloke and his mum having a wander around the show and I felt a bit awkward listening to their conversation, almost as if we were spying.  I don't know if it because they seem to be having a nice mother/son day but there just seemed something not quite right.

I don't want to complain too much, it was nice to see the strong bond they obviously have and obviously Ben was looking gorgeous.  Oh I don't know, maybe I'm thinking about it too much!!!

Of course, the camera´s eye was on them so their conversation wasn´t entirely spontaneous, it was something staged for the show. That´s probably the reason something feels not quite right there.
Still, it was nice to see Ben again, so relaxed and so attentive to his mother.
And the flower show itself was gorgeous. I so envy the people who were able to attend this event!

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Chelsea Flower Show

I think as well, that the filmed segment was just a small part of their day - they were probably free to wander around at leisure for most of the day, and his Mum did seem to have genuinely loved being there.
