OK, well, that's interesting. I'm not those two's biggest fan anyway, so....  laugh away, big boys, just don't let this fandom bite you on the a** while you're yucking it up and having a fine old time with us.

But John really, really believes that he's not gay, right? Gosh, he will be so surprised when eventually he realizes...

It is possible that he's not gay, never has had sexual feelings for another man (Sholto must have been hero worship, right? for him to talk about him every day and yet never mention him to Sherlock? hmmm) But one of these days, John could open up his emotional eyes and see who and what's been staring him right in the face for lo these many years. It does happen, even in RL.

So it might not be so much that John "doth protest too much" but that he just hasn't been enlilghtened yet. I look forward to seeing more and more of John's enlightenment, if we all live long enough to see more Sherlock episodes (already the waiting is grinding on me, and I need to stop letting that get to me).  When and if it happens, it will be like watching the sun come up over the eastern horizon, one little increment at a time, bringing its light and warmth along with it. It's all okay, as long as the sun eventually DOES come up--   someday!

I think it's too early in the morning for those two guys to stare at each other like that...

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

And that is why I say that TSoT is maybe saddest episode (out of three in close competition). Worse than TRF because there you know from the beginning how it is going to end. But this scene hit me like an express train. My daughter said she thinks she cannot watch it a second time because of this.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Exactly. I never feel the joy that a wedding should bring in this episode. There's just...sadness.

There are so many metas on this episode and reading them just makes it even more sad But it's worth it anyway!
