Absolutely...! Really, the next thing that should happen here clearly is... a kiss. And oh my, what a kiss that would be...!

The stuff of the best Johnlock fan fics, right there!

Because really... they've just had sort of a fight, right, and this kiss would be hot and forgiving and full of a feeling of relief all at the same time.

I love angst, so I would prefer a kiss that's underlaid with anger and frustration and "FINALLY!", all tinged with more than a little desperation to finally break down all the barriers that have been separating them since the moment they met. Heat yes, but the forgiveness and relief would be slower coming and would take time.

I can hear Sherlock's thoughts now, "Oh. Well, I must be losing my touch!"  bwahahahaha

I love this very first episode (or the pilot, whichever this is), and look how young the actors are here! Baby!Batch and Baby!Martin. They and their characters had chemistry, right from the get-go.

Whoever it is he's looking at - I have absolutely no idea, of course - he's deeply and utterly in love with that person, wouldn't you say?

Rewatched TSoT last night and it may be the most Johnlock thing that ever Johnlocked.

Now that is a fascinating meta... why is Sherlock taking John to Angelo's? What is going on here?

Very interesting meta. And I would like to add some things: Sherlock could have lured the cabbie anywhere but chose the very spot visible from Angelo's. And someone recently observed that there is a reservation sign on the table so he must have booked in advance. Quite telling.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Very good additions to the meta, Susi.
And apart from all that, I always find it fascinating that as someone who isn't all that keen on eating Sherlock in ASiP asks John twice to go and have something to eat.

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Yes. And even if we do not always equate eating/having dinner with sex as some do it remains something very unusual for Sherlock to do. John is the only one he ever takes out for dinner or lunch. And in HLV we see them drinking take-away coffee before going to Magnussen's office. And in TEH there is Sherlock asking Molly (who is his John substitute) for fish and chips. With Sherlock food is always connected to John.

...and what is food? We need food to keep us alive, healthy, we use food to reward ourselves, to console ourselves when we're feeling bad, to make us feel better. Food is pleasure.
