Serves her right. (But poor John).

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Yes, I know... but when she said that to John in regards to Sherlock it sounded so nasty that I thought... be careful what you're saying about others, love.

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Yes, the beginnning of HLV is very interesting in many ways. You can clearly see that something is not right with their marriage. We have discussed this elsewhere but the dream scene and everything that leads up to the drug den meeting is fraught with meaning.

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Yes, definitely. She has probably realised at that point that John misses Sherlock and everything connected to him... so I guess that's why it seems to be a triumph to her that not everyone knows who Sherlock is.

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Is it not strange that from the very beginning of HLV lovely Mary seems to have disappeared?

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

I actually like it very much when she says "It's a tiny bit sexy" before John goes into the drug den, but apart from that you're right. And I'm not sure if the writing is all that clever when it comes to that, because we really see a changed Mary here. Even if you can't quite put your finger on what's different, you definitely feel a difference in her behaviour. And that might be a bit too obvious for my taste.

I think that's because AA now knows what her character really is. I don't think you should read anything into the 'that does happen', it just means that Sherlock isn't known by everyone.

Good ones, Lazarus!  I liked the "Fall. Now" one most. "Deadman" is a great idea, too.
