This is just beautiful. You do not any words to express love.

*smile*  That's what men tell themselves anyway.  "Why does she (or he) need to hear me say it?  She knows I love her!"  Yeeeah......  And yes, it was a very pretty moment, in every way possible.

Yes, seriously, there's so much love and adoration in John's eyes, in the way he's looking at Sherlock...! This really takes my breath away.
And Susi, since we've just been talking about "Torchwood" a bit: Now imagine Sherlock walking up to John and just... doing it!!!

My thoughts when I was watching the two scenes.

Yes to all the mentioned above. And I have to add that together...well, that was just a gift of tv casting, wasn't it?

TPTB never wanted anyone but Ben to play Sherlock. They looked around a bit for their John, but I guess from the moment they got Ben and Martin in the same room, the chemistry was on, and they knew they had their leading pair. Inspired casting indeed. We viewers are very fortunate and blessed.

Yes, ag, and I just hope they don't just throw it away with too much hurt and angst..
I have a niggling feeling there are hard times to come for Johnlockers. Anyone in for a group hug...?

Maybe we should send the links to those two scenes to Mark via twitter?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

He is flirting. Definitely.

And does anyone remember this scene from TBB (transcript as always from Ariane DeVere)

JOHN: Actually, I’ve, er, got a date.
SHERLOCK: What?
JOHN: It’s where two people who like each other go out and have fun.
SHERLOCK: That’s what I was suggesting.
JOHN: No it wasn’t ... at least I hope not.
SHERLOCK Where are you taking her?
JOHN: Er, cinema.
SHERLOCK: Oh, dull, boring, predictable.

Yes, Susi, of course I remember - and I've no idea what you're getting at.

Is that so? What does he do then?
I don't know "Torchwood", but after I've seen some very... interesting scenes on YT today I've decided to change that very soon.

Surely, the World's greatest Consulting Detective knows what a date is?

Later in the episode he simply crashes John's date with Sarah---so it's all good.

Yes, that worked!

Very nice and so true!

It was trasparent from the very start that those two are not just flatmates:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Group hug, group hug, mrshouse, always! There's just far too much reason for a Johnlock group hug...

That comment is so perfect and so true. There has to be a reason why John just stays, right?
