Amazing. Brilliant. Fantastic.
Yep. All of that and more.
And the thing in the cab, gotta be one. of. the. best.Sherlock. scenes. ever.
"What do most people say?"
"Piss off."
*snort!* I laughed like hell, the first time I saw that, and it still tickles me.

Sherlock just loves to say John's name... John... John... John Watson... John...

And oh yes, there is a lot of staring going on... more and more... you just have to see what's going on there.

I do see it. All the time.

It certainly helps when your leads act like lovers even on the set.

The second one definitely has been photoshopped, nakahara.
But nevertheless... yes, I see it all the time, too.

Grrrr - those photoshops annoy me! I always fall for one.
I´am taking it down!

Oh god yes. Even if you're not hungry, if you're having dinner with the right person...

Yes. And if a non-hungry person cares so much about the hungry person that they ensure he is getting enough to eat.
On another note: This was my thought when I watched TEH for the first time.
In this very moment he is not talking about the bomb at all but about his inability to make up for the hurt he has caused John. It helped me to accept the scene which can be quite disturbing.

Subtext, I love thou so much!

Oh, I thought so, too. He didn't talk about the bomb. Would be nice to analyse that scene a bit closer.

If we need a new thread for that, open one. I am off to yoga class but have a look later.

Yes ladies, go and analyse the scene. There still are a lot of things in that scene that bother me, but maybe I've got it all wrong...?

Well.... maybe after work.
Still wonder about the (quite harsh) cut to Sherlock and Anderson, but that belongs somewhere else.
Sherlock's tears... fake or real?
Offline
Well, his whole way of acting feels a bit fake to me from a certain moment on. When he leans over the bomb and quite dramatically moves forward and backwards... I guess at that point he has found the off-switch, switched the bomb off and starts to act. From that point on he's basically lying to John - the question just is, is everything a lie?
But that's probably really for an extra thread...

Isn´t it reminiscent to their dialog before Sherlock jumps from the roof in TRF? Sherlock practicaly lies there either, but his tears and regret rings true....

Interestingly enough, his tears in TRF feel far more true to me than his tears in TEH. It's just a gut feeling, but there it is. And when he laughs at John in TEH... that also feels weirdly off.

When I think that the tears are not about the bomb, but about John not forgiving him, then it seems quite genuine to me.
