Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Let's forget about Mary for a second and concentrate on the most beautiful thing in the world...

About that scene - I had the same idea as in the tumblr comment. We only have Mary's word regarding John's attachment to Sholto. And she is a liar. So I wondered if here she is not subtly playing with Sherlock's mind.

Back to this.  It never occured to me while watching that Mary might be lying, but that moment did always seem strange.  "He never shuts up about him."  John?  John Watson?  A man not knwn for his loquaciousness?  Following your conversation Solar and Susi, it does seem to fit.  Sherlock is obviously wound up about Sholto and Mary is taking advantage of that to twist him just a little more.

Still just speculation, I know.  But I don't find it far fetched.

I like the way Sherlock is clinging to John. This kind of Johnlock emotion turns my crank, I must confess.  Lots of people think we Johnlockers are only interested in the sexual aspect of any relationship between them. But to me, it's the forever-ness NEED, the you-complete-me thing that is the best. IMO we get lots of that in the actual show, not in what words they say, but in the eye contact and in the way they're in each other's pockets.

Amen to that!   Couldn´t agree more.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: The comprehensive Johnlock guide (Johnlockers only)

Quite so. Johnlock can be less than sex and more than what people tend to call bromance. Holding each other like that... doesn't mean there's sex involved, at least not at that very moment, but it's definitely more than just sharing a flat.

If you think about it, their first meeting was suspicious either:

Although the sex is A-OK too. *smile*
