Since we've been talking about Elbow a bit after the Sydney Convention, I really have to recommend these two songs from an Elbow album from 2009, because they are beautiful, hypnotising, addictive:

I still have to get to know a lot of their stuff, but I'm pretty sure those two songs will end up being two of my favourite Elbow songs as well. They are just... perfect.

I love Elbow, been one of my favourite bands since I was little!
Weather To Fly is another beautiful song. Also, One Day Like This if you haven't heard it before, that's quite a popular song.

I bought the whole album last weekend and yes, those two songs are also quite beautiful.
I have to admit that I've never heard of Elbow before that Sydney Convention... I'd assume they aren't well-known at all in Germany (or maybe it's really just me).
And I bought two other albums and am listening to this song right now:

There really is, such a beautiful band with beautiful music!
The Live At Jodrell Bank album is a good listen too, really brings across Guy Garvey's comedic side.

Loving all the Elbow talk on here, makes me smile to know so many of my favourites are the same as yours guys! Having a major love affair with New York Morning at present, but Mirrorball, in my opinion, is one of the greatest modern love songs. Ever.
And that report in the Huff is fab too - I shall make my husband read it and then he might understand where I'm coming from lol!

Oh yes, New York Morning is a favourite of mine as well. Starts so calm and then gains a bit of pace... once again, just perfect. They really know how to write truly captivating songs.
And I agree, that article is really sweet. Sometimes I had the feeling she was writing about me...
