I woke up today sick as hell. My gallbladder feels like it would explode.

Sorry to hear that
Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, Tinks, you are sweet.
I took some medication, so hopefully it will pass, but right now I feel pretty awful.

Get well soon, nakahara! Is it a colic or something? Those are really painful, i hope the medicine helped.
Offline
Yes, it´s a colic. Not as bad as the last time I had it, but awful anyway.

Did you just have painkillers or something against the spasticity as well? Butylscopolamin ( in Germany it is called Buscopan) is helpful.
Offline
Yes, I have also a medication against spasticity, but it takes forever for that medicament to work on me, I´m afraid. It reacts really slowly.

Sorry to hear that. Get well soon.

Thank you, you are kind.

I hope you feel better soon, nakahara that sounds awful!
... Guess what this stupid girl did yesterday? attempted to lift and carry an insanely heavy box with my messed up back. It even says so in my contract that we are not even allowed to touch heavy equipment. OW!! Perhaps that will teach me.

Oh no!
Nakahara, I hope you feel better soon!
+Phantom, I hope you're backs okay?!

And as for my rant, college work.
It's coming so close to the end of the year, which is where all the stress comes in, all my deadlines are coming up, and I'm having to nail down with all my work, but it's not really working.
This is where all my doubts come in, and I start to ask myself whether I took the right course, and where I'll be able to stick with my choice of going to university.
Gah, these education years are so stressful, I just hope that it all pays off in the end, and that I'm not wasting my time!

I hope it all gets better Rebecca, you're doing so great with your school work from what I've seen! You'll be fantastic! I'm sure you're going to be happy you went through all of that! Just remember to breathe!
My back is a bit better today, the train ride home was no fun though and I woke up from a cramp... I've not told my bosses or the delegation about the pains I have because I don't want them to treat me differently, but I have informed my 2 co-workers that in case I might some day, late at night snap at them it's not because I hate them.
Offline
Bless you, I'm glad it's feeling better today!

Thanks Rebecca! Hope you're still surviving school?
GAH! Bad planning from others that's not my fault and then reflects back on me... So, today no delegations are allowed at the venue, but to order transport to the gym tomorrow they have to show up a the venue to pay today. BLAH!
... Also, how the F is it cheeper for us to order a taxi instead? Well I know what we'll do then, Taxi it is!

Okay I'm just going to continue my rant here...
The hard work I do for the Eurovision (actually having one of the most important jobs, as a Delegation host, making sure my delegation (The Irish) make their deadlines, show them around the city, answer all sorts of questions and even letting them use my hairbrush... etc etc...) Is unpaid work, and as it happens, while I work my behind off I'm not allowed to recieve benefits. Which means I am paying to work... It's all right, As I keep saying this has been my dream since I was 10 and I am so excited to be a part of all this!
There's just been a lot of issues, we struggle to be given food at the venue and we were also promised free food in Copenhagen city, this has only been solved halfheartedly now and we have to hunt down one specific chain of restaurants... we were also promised free travel. I have to pay half my tickets out of my own pockets too...
Now, the Danish broadcaster has just sent out a long and very angry email because a few volunteers took a few bottles of water and a few pieces of fruit meant for the delegation because they were famished. I am sorry, but WTF! This is not Sochi
Had we been told that a month ago I would still be doing this, but this is just so annoying.

Gah. I spent half a fortune on a new laptop just two weeks ago, and it looks like one of the USB ports isn't working. I mean, seriously? In a brand new 1,600 EUR ultrabook? I am soooo much looking forward to calling tech support to find out how I can ge that fixed. Grmpf.

What brand is your laptop from? I once had a laptop from Acer. After three weeks the network adapter broke down (the repair took almost a month). And half year later the whole mainboard had a serious damage . I waited nearly two month until the shop where I had bought the device finally told me that the broken component is not longer available and the laptop couldn't be repaired. At least I got a full refund.
Technical problems sucks. I wish you good luck with your laptop. Hopefully the support can help you quickly.

It's all helping you to build up the resilience. Once the education years are over and you enter the working life the stresses are still there and in many ways worse (unless you have a job with no responsibilities). I look back at my Uni days now and think what a bliss it was. lol
Best of luck with all your assigments. Make sure you have plenty of time to take breaks and have a bit of fun to recharge your batteries. It will soon be over and it will be time for well earned holidays.

They take liberties as they know that people will carry on becouse they are there for the love of the show. Just imagine where organisers would be though if all the volunteers suddenly walked out on them. They may need to be reminded of that. It realy reflects very poorly on the organisation when they treat volunteers that way.
I hope that you are having a good time overall though despite those problems.
