Thanks for forwarding this trailer - especially like the end.
"...and this rascal...is Martin Freeman."

Thanks for posting! Can't wait to see Martin in Fargo. He just gets more amazing the older he gets and obviously now his time for the really interesting parts has come.

IMDB has a new featurette as well.

I am so excited for this.
Was happy to learn that the show not only has the blessings of the Cohen brothers but that they are to some extent involved. I also like that it is not a remake of the film but will tell new stories in the same world.

I can't wait to see this!
And yes, tonnaree, when I read that the Coens are executive producers of the show, I was kind of relieved.

Oh Martin! This is going to be so good.

This is a seriously great interview with Martin Freeman. I like how very grown up and straightforward he is in his responses.

I just watched the Fargo pilot, and, damn, that was intense! I haven't seen the movie (yet, I'm planning to do so at some point), so I can't compare the show to the movie, but I can definitely say that I loved the pilot and will keep watching. It's wacky weird in the best of ways, and ever so mind boggling.
Martin was fantastic (as if I ever doubted him), and all the other actors too. I can't really judge on how good his Minnesota accent was, but I could tell there wasn't much (if any) British trace. I was also happy to recognize Shawn Doyle and Colin Hanks. Billy Bob Thornton was super creepy in a very unobtrusive way -- terrifyingly, wonderfully so.
I have nothing but good things to say about the pilot, and I hope I'm not the only one taking a liking to it.

It seems to have been generally well received.

I'm going to download it tonight and watch. Can't wait to hear his accent xD

Let me know how you liked it, Sherlock. I'd love to hear what others thought about it, particularly people who also know the movie.

Big fan of the movie and the work of the Cohen brothers in general.
I thought it was fantastic. It had the same quirky strange vibe as the movie without feeling like a retread. Can't wait for the next episode.

Same here, tonnaree. Watched the first episode tonight and loved it very much. I'm also a huge fan of the movie - it was one of those films that really blew me away when I saw it on the big screen. Gosh, that was almost 20 years ago, can you believe it...?!
The first episode imo definitely had some of that Coen Brothers feel... dark, dark humour, weird and just a little bit... different.
Billy Bob Thornton and Martin were both great... can't wait to see where things will go with Thornton's character. I would say that sometimes Martin's Watson was showing a little bit, but well, I don't mind.

I'm also a big fan of the film and love this series. I've seen the first three episodes and it only gets better. Assuming it finishes well, this could be my favorite thing that Martin has ever done.
I was excited about Fargo giving True Detective some actual competition at this year's Emmys, but with True Detective out of the race now Fargo is definitely the frontrunner for Outstanding Miniseries. Something to look forward to this awards season.
