Hello everybody,
I'm rather new to this fandom and therefore felt the need to look for an active forum in order to get some more insight and have fannish discussions.
I live pretty close to Meiringen/the Reichenbach Falls which is basically the reason why I've been quite fascinated with the whole Sherlock Holmes universe ever since I can remember; getting into the BBC-version took me quite some time though (well, obviously... ). But I'm here now and I'm happy I'm finally hooked.
Nice tou meet you all!

It is indeed. Where have you been to when you were here? What place/mountain/lake/river did you like best?

Sadly I've only visited Basel, I've got family there! But the city is incredibly beautiful. One of the times I was there with my mother we went by train and got to drive through mountains and what not. I was just a kid but I was glued to the window!

Hello fellow Swiss board-member and a warm welcome to you! I'm living near Winterthur (somewhere near Zurich).
It's always nice to see new people getting hooked by the incredible BBC series and find their way on here!

Thank you all for your very warm welcome!
@This Is THe Phantom Lady: Basel is one of my favourite cities. You're so lucky to have relatives there.
@James Norrington: Great to meet fellow Swiss people here. Winterthur is a very nice place too. I often go there in August for the Musikfestwochen.
@Marta: That's a great idea, the Falls are a lovely sight.

Hi Eurydike!
Belated welcome here! Have fun!
Went to Zermatt for skiing a few times, you will never be able to ski somewhere else after having visited the Matterhorn!
And I also know basel quite well, because my granddad used to live at Grenzach-Whylen.

Willkommen! I have been to and through Switzerland a few times. Skied Wengen and also across to Zermatt from Cervinia in Italy (got caught in a vile blizzard on the way home, but that's another story). Stayed near Lausanne as well. Beautiful country. Welcome aboard!
