I really don't know, the doctor just tested all of my joints and they were all bending and stretching abnormally. He didn't go in deeper with it. (He might do after my back gets X-rayed)... apparently my hips were a bit of a concern as the joints there stretched a bit too much.

I'm also double jointed. I thought everyone can bend their wrists, elbows and fingers the way I do until I went to medical school and discovered that this is not the case.

I went to the same University as Benedict.

I am too and my daughter and also my son, to a certain extent. My daughter was told by the specialist that about 1/3rd of people have over-flexible joints, 1/3rd had under-flexible joints and the rest are 'normal'. It can come in useful but does have its downside too.
