Polar, for what it's worth - not much I know! - looking at how tired he looks, and how low key this seems to be, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a flying visit with little or no red carpet stuff to speak of.
Those people were very lucky to meet (and smell!) him, but he does look exhausted, and isn't he in Australia at the end of next week?

Such beautiful shots. I loved that scene in ASiP: Sherlock stalked around the murder scene like a jaguar, I remembered being so mesmerized by his performance.

Hey Tinks, it is pretty low-key; there is barely any coverage in the local papers (with all the tragedy that's looming over our country.) He does appear tired. I imagine it was a long long flight and the weather here isn't exactly the best (read: humid tropics). But I think we're pretty grateful to have Ben here... a welcomed distraction from all the sad news. We owe him one.

glad it's provided a bit of a lift, Polar, if only a small one - I've been following the tragedy on the news and it's so hard to see those grieving families

LOL! They're gorgeous pics, but they both look pretty miserable in them!
Photographers seem to favour the depressed look, for some reason ;)
