Yeah, they're gonna be £220 each for the signed edition.
Yes, it is expensive and one can think it's a ridiculous amount of money for a "toy" (my family thinks I'm crazy because I have several "luxury" figures, and also a very very very huge collection of vintage Strawberry shortcake dolls, some of them now valued 300€ for a 15cm doll)
BUT
I paid nearly as much as this for some of my figures and they are not signed on anything.
Those kind of figures are very expensive because they are very detailed, hand painted etc. But now, type "Benedict Cumberbatch signed" on ebay dot com, and you'll see his autograph rarely sells under 150€ and most of the time 300€ and you only get a picture, not a beautiful object like this.
So this is all very relative...
Besides, limited figures like these tend to get much more value with time.
IE got a L figure (from the manga Death Note) for about $150 a couple of years ago, now you find it on ebay between 300 and 800$ (!!!) or I got a Sasuke one (from the manga Naruto: not a fan, but loved the figure in traditional japanese costume) nearly a year ago, for about 230$. Currently, you can't find it under 550$...
Anyway, turned 30 three weeks ago. Asked for money instead of presents. Saved money myself. And hope to lay a hand on those signed figures.
Yeah, I know, sounds crazy. But hey, some people spend money in cigarettes, others in expensive clothes, travels... I buy beautiful objects myself.

I'm so glad to see that these are being made! I will definitely be trying to get my hands on a signature edition Sherlock!

Has anyone ordered any of the Big Chief dolls yet? Or intending too?
I know the signed ones are all sold out now but I am soooo tempted to buy one of the other Sherlock dolls. (£169). I've tried sculpting my own Sherlock but it just isn't the same. *sigh*
I wish they weren't quite that much though.

OK...I caved!
Just put my deposit down for a Sherlock!
I hope to have the money saved by the time they are released. I'll try to sell lots of my sculpts on Ebay! But I have some birthday money to use if I don't.
Does anyone know when the dolls are actually going to be ready? I can't find any info on the Big Chief website.

Wow, the details are fantastic, down to the red stitched buttonholes! However, my hubby will have a cow about the price; even though it's worth every cent

My Sherlock figure came at last from Big Chief Studios! It's brilliantly made and the likeness is spot on! I couldn't afford a John figure too but I was more interested in Sherlock anyway.
My Loki figure wasn't too happy about it though - hee hee -

Cool! And neat timing…. I just came across this, from the same guys!

I hope they bring out a Mycroft and Molly. I'd be tempted to buy those.

I know! I mean, they're awesome, and I know it must be super hard to make those realistic dolls (some out there better than others), and the other angle helped, but it just looks… strange.

Someone just posted this on YouTube -

Received mine about three weeks ago. Love them! Especially Sherlock! And love all the little detailes accessories (skull, violin, phones, John's laptop, mug and so on!)
Here are some pics I'd made (I'd posted them on tumblr and deviantart)
WARNING! JOHNLOCK! HEHE!
Yes, well, you seriously didn't expect a Johnlocker to get her hands on these and do absolutely nothing, huh? Well, those are very "soft" Johnlock pics, though.

Even though I neither Johnlock nor would buy these.
It is predictably hilarious what people do with them!

Haha, those johnlock pictures are great. Seriously, those figures are beautifully made with lots of details (and apparantly lots of hands and feet too?). Love the laptop and the violin.
