Who would you like to play Harriet?
They probably won't, but if they did decide to have John's sister Harriet in series 4, even making a brief appearance, which actress do you think would be good in the part? 
I know she wouldn't have to look exactly like John, but there might be some family likeness too.

Don't know why but I've always imagined her as on the butch side. Not sure of who I'd cast.

Apparently there was a quite popular Tumblr fandom consensus that she should be played by Catherine Tate (which would be AWESOME) but I have no idea where that came from and have only seen it referenced once.

Since they are already useing Martin real wife, why not get his older sister Laura Watson? That would be cool if she could act.

Apart from being very unimpressed by the nepotistic casting on this show, that's not possible. Martin's sister died several years ago.

Well, I always had Maria Ketikidou in mind, but as she's german that's not going to happen ;-) Also she has too much of a clear greek influence in her features.
I always imagined Johns sister as small (he is small too) and maybe dark-haired - so a bit of a contrast to John. And very lively, talkative, but a bit exhausting.
Yes, a thread about her would be good.

I somehow see Emma Thompson as John´s older sister. And I really like her, so it would be fantastic to have her on Sherlock.
