And this is the man who, as a teenager, looked into the mirror and would ask himself, "How will I ever get a girl?  Why would any girl fall for that face?"  I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of what he's said in at least one interview I read, that he had a real crisis of self-confidence about his looks when he was young.  Can you imagine?  And now look what's happened to him!

Sadly,he's still not convinced yet that he's gorgeous and sexy.It still comes like a really big surprise to him. Also if someone compliments him,he doesn't know, what to do with it.
That you can never take away from a person. I'm like that myself, nothing will convince me that I might be actually ok looking person.I just don't believe it. Mirror tells me otherwise.

What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I shall shut down the computer for the night and leave with a few nice TBB caps from my collection.

Very nice, Tobe. But is this not from this very sad scene?

But I find that what-seems-to-be-sincere humility very charming. If it were fake, it wouldn't be charming-- you know, if he were convinced of his attractiveness but still saying things llike, "Who me? You think I'm handsome? Who, me?"  all phoney-like, that would not be charming. But there's something about a guy who is drop dead attractive and yet sincerely, honestly isn't convinced of it (and you feel he never will be) that makes me want to pounce him. Yum. The humility is just part of the total package that I admire-- looks, smarts, all-around nice guy, lack of [false] pride and arrogance, talent, on and on the list goes.

I was just thinking the same thing. I usually check the forum between 4-6PM, and all the Europeans are already saying night-night. Sigh.

He's such a little user, our Sherlock, when he wants to be. When it suits him. OTOH, I think most of us have known men like that in our pasts--  good-looking users.  Of course, Sherlock isn't REALLY a user [of both women and drugs]--- he's just written that way on occasion. lolol

He always looks good in black on black.
And in Susi's black and white images, too.
Yum.
