He should wear glasses more. I do like him in glasses! Then again I like him in anything... and nothing.
Ooh phantom, now don't get carried away it'll play havoc with your blood pressure ;)
(Though I also think the same lol!)
Too late; way too late!
I think my heart is popping out of chest... could also be the caffeine I had earlier. But this seems a much more likely cause. I'm going to bed soon. Benedict really is bad news for sleeping!

Thank you do much for all the lovely pics everyone
My heart skipped a beat to see those most recent pics - he's looking fine!
As for the glasses, it doesn't surprise me that he wears them - I have similar coloured eyes and need contacts (glasses if I'm tired), and I've read before that eyes in that colour spectrum (blue/green) are often short sighted!
And the British tabloids? I avoid them! I hate the way they hound celebs, writing nice articles about the celebs whose PR companies do business with them, and spiteful stuff about those who don't.
They barely even bother covering real news!
Anyway, can't wait to hear the final cabin pressure - I follow James Rhodes on Twitter and he apparantly went along today, too - lucky people who were in the same room as Ben and James love them both

Teejay - I don't actively seek out pap shots of him, there's a newspaper website I frequent often and they has some of him on there a week or so ago, saying he was in disguise to go to the cinema - he looked as he always does. It really angers me, the banality of the British press. Makes me see red.
Apologies, I didn't mean to imply you were seeking out pap shots of Benedict. I do understand that as an active fan, you sometimes come across them without specifically looking for them. And it's not like I don't understand the appeal. You're interested in the person behind the characters he's played, and candids give you a good glimpse at that person. It certainly has a love/hate characteristic.

Oh no don't be sorry - I know you didn't imply Hun it's very much a double-edged sword isn't it? As a fan you want to see a person sing or act or dance or do whatever, and through that some want to know what they're really like. I'd love to know more about him as a person, just because I'm fascinated by him, how someone can transform like he does. I, however, never expect to find out anything, or trust anything, unless it comes from him.
Unfortunately though paps and the press hijack the general clamour of the fandom, for their own ends, picking holes in the smallest things and going too far with intrusiveness. How's this for ridiculous? One newspaper did a story last week about a reality tv star avoiding a puddle (Seriously). I hate the fact these so-called journalists are waiting in the wings for his every move. It must be awful for him.
Tonnaree - that is one lush pic!!

This is a new one to me. Yum. Khan hair, I believe. Like his reflection in the glass on that picture, too. And then meanwhile, who is he nuzzling his nose into in the photo? lol

I do believe, like mentioned earlier, that it's Gary Oldman.

Seems to be a new thing - maybe he just needs them for reading/watching telly. I guess he could use contacts but where he's been travelling so much they might be uncomfortable?
He looks sexy in them ;)
A ha! Middle age, creeping up on him-- the age when you didn't used to need glasses, or you needed them only for distance, and suddenly your arms aren't long enough to be able to hold reading material at the right distance to actually see it. lolol Welcome to your almost-40s, Ben.

I try to stay away from paparazzi shots because I always feel it supports an uncalled for invasion of privacy. Plus, I'm not really following everything that's going on with Benedict, so I've probably just not come across the "right" pictures yet.
And I can certainly understand the notion of not wearing your glasses unless you have to. I'm practically blind without mine, but I always wear my contacts, unless there's a really serious reason I can't (like swollen, itchy hay fevery eyes -- hello approaching spring, I already hate you). When I can't wear my contacts, I'm always cranky. To the point where I tell people to please not utter any comments like, "Oh, you're wearing your glasses today." To which I always reply with an annoyed snarl and want to tell them to go screw themselves.
Glasses are considered a fashion accessory here in the US. All the major designers have a line of them. I bought a half price pair of Dolce and Gabbanas for my readers-- not that I give a care that the bows have little gold DGs on them, but they're kinda snazzy.
Contacts for reading are problematic-- you can only wear one contact for reading correction, so the other eye can see at a distance. If you also need correction for distance, you end up wearing one contact for distance in one eye and one for reading in the other-- eventually your brain adjusts and focuses through the correct eye to focus on what you're looking at. Or another option is to wear distance correction contacts and put reading glasses over them, to wear when needed.
I've never spotted contacts in any of the close-up photos I've seen of Ben. I more suspect that the readers are something he's finding he needs as he marches toward 40s-- this is very common. Nice to see he really is human after all. *smile* As if there was any doubt.....
