Seems to be a new thing - maybe he just needs them for reading/watching telly. I guess he could use contacts but where he's been travelling so much they might be uncomfortable?

He looks sexy in them ;)

He very rarely wears his glasses, you mainly see him wearing them when he's travelling, and candid shots.

I try to stay away from paparazzi shots because I always feel it supports an uncalled for invasion of privacy. Plus, I'm not really following everything that's going on with Benedict, so I've probably just not come across the "right" pictures yet.

And I can certainly understand the notion of not wearing your glasses unless you have to. I'm practically blind without mine, but I always wear my contacts, unless there's a really serious reason I can't (like swollen, itchy hay fevery eyes -- hello approaching spring, I already hate you). When I can't wear my contacts, I'm always cranky. To the point where I tell people to please not utter any comments like, "Oh, you're wearing your glasses today." To which I always reply with an annoyed snarl and want to tell them to go screw themselves.

clareiow, yep. Another great example that this guy doesn't need a professional photo shoot and all that to look absolutely gorgeous (can't say this often enough, apparently... ) on a photo.

Teejay - I don't actively seek out pap shots of him, there's a newspaper website I frequent often and they has some of him on there a week or so ago, saying he was in disguise to go to the cinema - he looked as he always does. It really angers me, the banality of the British press. Makes me see red.

Solar - he's an absolute stud-muffin! He doesn't need photoshop to airbrush him. He's magnetic.
