Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

I haven't seen this before, either. A bit of The Creature, right?

Yes, backstage, I suppose. Lovely mix of Benedict and Creature.

Many of those here have been in the thread before - and this one reminds me a bit of your undead-image, Susi

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Not this one, I think. But you are right, it looks a bit like the zombie one.

But really interesting, to see him with just part of the make-up on.

Strange, moody photo. He looks as though he's just back from Africa and recovering from Dengue Fever or something. heh  That's okay, not every photo of him can show him as drop dead gorgeous. He is human, after all. I think. Yes, I think so.

I do think he looks hauntingly beautiful in this one, but whoever has done his make up has overdone it, making him look too pale and powdery.
The only pics of this gorgeous man that I don't like so much are the STID premiere ones, and those around that time - as I've said before, he looks to have lost way too much weight way too quickly in those, looks really pale, and his hair being longer and swept back accentuates it - I really feel like feeding him up and forcing him to rest for a few weeks when I see those pics

No Anderson, don't leave me now!!!! I've just found you!!

Actually you can help me. I want to do just one more drawing of Ben - doesnt have to be Sherlock - to see if I can get him somewhere near perfect. Can you, or anyone else on here, suggest a pic to copy?

Hey Clare, it depends on what type of material you'll be using. Would you be doing colors or B&W charcoal/graphite? I'll be sharing some pics that would be fun with charcoal. IMO Ben's Sherlock pictures captures his profile best, but his hair is torture to draw.

Ooh polar thank you! I'm a traditionalist myself, just graphite pencils for me (a bit if a pain when he keeps appearing in dark suits lol!)

I like the bottom one, it's definitely a contender. They're all swoonsome!

And these pictures do help explain why.  A man who is happy in himself can confidently pull those kind of faces and just not care.  And in my book that makes him unbelievably hot!!

(And I fully appreciate I am projecting a personality on him without knowing if it's true but I do feel there's a small element of truth in it).  Whatever it is I just love that we have these pictures too, how many other stars would be happy with (perceived) less flattering pictures posted all over the internet??  I really do love this man!

Biggles you are so right, self-deprecating, humble, witty and not afraid to send himself up.

I've just watched the BAFTANY chat - wonderful man, could listen to him for hours.
On a scale of 1 to 10, thigh rubbing was at 100! It was very distracting....

Thud.

I love the BAFTA NY session. So down to earth, so candid, and he's just bubbling with words.
