More great bookends and symmetry

Ah, A Scandal In Belgravia is just so beautifully shot,  balance visually
in nearly every scene, don't you think.    AND in the plot points:

-opening scene  with Irene's pool phone call
to Moriarty interrupting/'saving' Sherlock,  just as the
coda of the episode has Sherlock interrupting/'saving' Irene...

-Irene peruses photographs of Sherlock-in-Sheet on her cellphone,
('I'm sending you a treat')  while he examines her dossier
photographs supplied by Mycroft, Mission Impossible style.

-Both of them choose their 'battledress' carefully, now that's a beautifully
edited sequence.

In fact the Series 1 very beginning,  and Series 2 ending:
with John/therapist scenes.  along with the war scenes/ bookended
with John's soldier graveside salute to Sherlock.

so nice.

In Scandal, they also both chose BLOOD as the colour to dress up their battle outfits, he had real blood, she had blood red lipstick.

Mycroft’s popularity doesn’t surprise me at all. He is, after all, incredibly beautiful, clever and well-dressed. And beautiful. Did I mention that?

Although I did like the policeman's outfit he tried on first.

The battledress sequence is lovely! One of my favorites!

I love the way these stories are constructed.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.
