The weather has been *dreadful* here in the northeast. Lots of cancelled flights, and then when windows of opportunity open and some flights can actually take off, there are 100s, maybe 1000s of folks trying to get the first flight out, since they're already a day or two late, etc. Lots of SNAFUs, to say the least.
I would expect someone of Ben's status to fly privately. Who knows.

You're sure? Don't think so. I am sure he can afford First Class... but privately? Well, he is rising now, but still not on the level like other Hollywood stars, so...

No I don't think he'd do a private jet.
Seems strange for him to cancel a performance before the Queen, though - there's been no talk of any work starting before today.
But then it doesn't look as though Alan Rickman will be performing either, so maybe it wasn't a solidly confirmed thing.

Oh, he absolutely does, to me. Just for reasons of saving time, traveling comfort, avoiding the public scrutiny of using regular flights, etc. It's all tax deductible as a business expense, and you know, if I were someone who was flying 10,000+ miles a week, I'd sure be interested in chartered air service-- privacy, comfort, good food, no hassles at either end, why not.

Maybe the Queen has the flu. ??? Could be any darned reason.

I think there was a picture floating around with him on a chartered flight, taken by one of the passengers...oh found it!

It is all fun imagining his private life but I try to stay away from it. Intense interest in his private life would just encourage the paparazzi which can be pretty disruptive and he's mentioned time and again that he appreciates his privacy.

Like I said yesterday, I don't want to know about his private life and he clearly hates being papped so I wouldn't wish that on him.
If anything, I've even felt he's done a little TOO much PR lately, and wondered if he was happy about it.
So sorry if I've fallen into the trap of speculating too much on his not flying home - it was genuinely only out of concern for him and his health, but of course, it's not really my business
