Yeah but she's about twenty years older than him, hence he considers himself an only child. Because he was the only child in the house/family.

The only child of that particular couple, and raised alone as the only child in the household. It doesn't have to be a 20 year gap to have that happen. Even 6 or 8 years apart will result in the youngest being raised like an only child as he grows older.

I still thing it strange he didn't show - hope he made it safely back from NY because I know the weather has been bad there.

Just read on Twitter that someone working at the event said he had got stuck on NY airport. No idea if this is true, though. I would not assume something dramatic to have happened.

I watched Hawkings and Van Gogh this weekend... Also some interviews with Ben...
Then I watched Sherlock again and it is simply a different world.
When Ben acts there is no Ben anymore. There is just the character. Even the whole voice and talking is different... He is just brilliant!

I also watched Hawking this morning on my smartphone on my way to work and Van Gogh last week. Benedict let me forget that he is playing these characters. He is simply amazing!!!
