So here is the sad and happy news. The last episode will be recorded on Feb. 23:

Hmm... just started listening to the first part of it.

Have only been to Abu Dhabi and Boston so far but already love it. It's just funny not silly... what I worried about a little bit.

It's very clever.

Authur can be silly, but in the most adorable way.
I still have to listen to Series 4.

I absolutely loved Cabin Pressure. I think I went through all four seasons in about a week. And it helped me a little bit to stay sane during what has honestly been the worst week of my life so far. I will always have fond memories of MJN Air.
It's very bittersweet to hear that Zurich as Gerty's last ever destination is becoming a reality, because I don't want Carolyn and her whacky crew to stop flying. But, well, all good things must end, so I will be waving at the gate and say my farewells when the episode finally airs.
It would be really cool to be there for the live recording, but seeing how even if you win one of the tickets, they can't even guarantee you'll get a seat, I don't think I'm willing to gamble a London trip on a shaky chance to see the guys live on stage.

I wonder how they intend to release this last episode... just one CD with this one episode on it?
A girl is allowed to dream, so... wouldn't it be great if they filmed the recording and released a CD together with a very special DVD...? Okay, I know, highly unlikely...

This really should happen.

Aren't the other seasons on iTunes? Also, if it's a BBC radio production, I'd like to think you can listen via webradio when it airs. Right?

Yes, but still... all other episodes are available on CD, so I would assume that they'll try to release this last episode in a similar way.

Well, there is always hope. It's also possible they'll try to milk it and release season 4 all over again with the last episode included -- more ££££ and all.

Just to confirm...Benedict is the person reading the intro and credits right? I'm pretty convinced it's him but my friend thinks otherwise.
And I really missed Benedict in Newcastle. It was a hilarious script I really wished he did it.

Yes, he is. And I love how he starts very sober and matter-of-fact and with every series gets more and more over the top.
Yes, it is a pity about Newcastle but he had lost his voice and IMO Tom Goodman-Hill did an excellent job.

So true, in S1 he was really quite tame. When I listened to S1 a second time after having listened to all the episodes I was a bit irritated at first, because I had completely forgotten how soberly he did this in the beginning.

The entire cast seems to be having a ball. Watching a recording must be something.

I will admit that I've been trying to find something on YouTube that showed a live-recorded show, but there was nothing in watchable quality. I'm sure it'd be a blast seeing them do it, and the show sounds like they all get along great and have a ball when they're recording the show. I will definitely be majorly jealous of anyone who gets to see the live recording later this month.

I think you don't find anything on YT because people in the audience are always asked very insistently not to film anything of it. And as far as I know, most of the people act accordingly.
That's another reason why it would be sooooo great if they did a DVD...

I was actually hoping for something official and not something filmed by an audience member. Not impossible that the BBC would upload something. A DVD would be fab, but I have a feeling Cabin Pressure isn't high profile enough for the BBC to invest money in that. Do we know if they even filmed all the episodes?

Ah, yes, a DVD would be fantastic. Also they are only reading the intensity of that has to require a lot of interaction, yes acting. Otherwise it also wouldn't make any sense to do public recordings. (Oh, I am sooo clever )

I don't think that they filmed the recordings. Why should they? The series has always been conceived for radio broadcasting.
But it would be really nice to watch. You hear people laughing and know that they do not just laugh about the words. E.g. in "Wokingham" the actor playing Martin's brother actually lifted Benedict up when the line came up in the script.
