I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.

Re: Little Favour (short film)

I just watched it and...wow. Not entirely what I expected! And yet it partly was because I stupidly read an interview about the script process and so forth. Try not to spoiler yourselves guys...and make sure your jaw has a soft landing when it drops out the bottom of your head.

Re: Little Favour (short film)

I watched it. God I hate indy movies. Can someone explain what Wallace's favour ended up being?

Re: Little Favour (short film)

It would be nice if you could introduce yourself, sirlock.

SPOILER WARNING!!!
As for the favour - well, I think I will have to watch it again but I suppose that James somehow got involved with these Eastern European thugs and tried to get rid of them by using Wallace as a weapon. James seems to be the baddie who also employs Laila who is a former child soldier. Maybe I am totally wrong that is how I understood the film.

But now that lurking seems to be changed into posting, you might also tell us a bit about you.

I think I understand the film and the "Little Favour" like Susi did, although....

SPOILER ALERT

..... I didn't think of the child as a child soldier. I thought until the end it's his daughter. Or maybe both? Quite an idea, though....
(Have to watch it again, too.  )

It will be interesting how hubby will react - I can already hear him at the beginning: "Oh nooo, children... again....." He'll probably expect something romantic.

Re: Little Favour (short film)

SPOILER

It was not my brilliant idea, I read it on tumblr. There is this work of art on his wall which shows an child with a soldier's helmet embedded in a grey substance. It looks a bit like a shroud. And the fact that the girl shoots so spontaneously and purposefully shows that she might have a special history.
I just wondered if James brought her with him from some African country. I think we do not get a full explanation for this.

Re: Little Favour (short film)

Do we need a Spoiler warning in the thread title now?

It does leave you with lots to think about.

Of course it also leaves you with pics in your head of a very buff Benedict.

Re: Little Favour (short film)

Yes, thanks, I found that thread later on. I might just go over there and add something with a little more content than my initial reaction.
