Read Refuge and The Rescue - GUYS!!!! They are both brilliant, in entirely different ways. Highly recommend everyone goes and reads them :-)

Wholocked, your fic was amazing and helped me so much to comprehend these scenes in HLV!
Now I need someone who wants to write about the months before the Christmas dinner. Anyone?

Thanks for reading 'The Rescue' Wholocked. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for recommending it.
Edit - and I just read your fic and loved it! Now I see that little scene as part of the episode!

Aw, thanks! That really means a lot, since writing in the Sherlock fandom is still new ground for me. Kudos to my great beta readers as well.

Just my latest little fanfic -
It's set after Sherlock got shot. He's laying in his hospital bed, Janine has just left, and he is about to get another visitor.
It's a Sherlock/Molly friendship fic.
If anyone has the time to have a read I'd be grateful. And I love reviews, thanks.

I've just started a new ongoing fanfiction called Maelstrom -
A quick synopsis -
"After Sherlock murders CAM, his mind, moreover his Mind Palace, reacts violently to his first cold blooded kill, and he begins to lose control over it, falling into a complete catatonic state. He is forced to travel down, like Alice down the rabbit hole, deep into the dark depths of his subconscious, deeper than he has ever dared venture before, to battle the demons inside and stop the total corruption of the pristine hard-drive that took decades to refine."

Sorry, me again!
Just added chapter 2 of 'Maelstrom' to fanfiction.net -
Am also in the process of making a video based on the fic!

I really like it so far, hope you upload the next chapter soon. One thing, though. I don't think Sherlock would use the word "bullshit". I can't even say why, but it strikes me as a very non-Sherlockian term. Maybe that's just me...

Thanks for reading! I'm working on chapter 3 at the moment.
Thanks also for the input. Yes, I find it really hard to have Sherlock swear because I'm not sure he would. I never like him using the F word. But then, people do swear in the real world. They just can't show it in the series, except for 'bloody' which is very tame today. I felt bullsh*t was a bit tamer than the F word too. Sherlock is also very stressed in that scene...well...that's my excuse! Hope it didn't spoil the flow of the story for you too much.

I just found this lying around on my hard drive. I wrote it probably over a year ago for a prompt in the comment-fic comm on LiveJournal. And it's short enough to post here in its entirety. Enjoy!
---------------------------------------
“Sherlock?” John asked from the kitchen.
“Yes, John?” Sherlock replied from the living room, a familiar impatient undertone swinging in his voice.
“Is it really necessary—“
That’s as far as John came, because Sherlock, having miraculously appeared in the doorframe, interrupted, “Yes, there are body parts in the fridge. No, I'm not going to do anything about it. Do we really have to have this conversation every time?”
John closed the refrigerator door, a mischievous smile playing at his lips. “I was going to ask, ‘Is it really necessary to store the chocolate spread in the fridge?’ It’s rock solid every time I actually want to eat it.”
“Oh,” Sherlock responded. “I suppose not.”
“Well then,” John said, “I hope you don’t mind that I find a new home for it.”
He got the chocolate spread out of the refrigerator and put it on the top shelf of one of the kitchen cupboards. Then he turned to Sherlock with the words, “And to answer your question, no, we don’t have to have this conversation every time.”

Ha ha - love it!
Maybe there should be a topic for tiny ficlets like this. Where we can share normal fun everyday scenes from the Sherlock world. Nothing really long. A certain word count. Perhaps no longer than your ficlet. But scenes that we don't really want to turn into a mega long fanfic but really want to share.

Like 221B's? 221 words, where the final word begins with B =D

Oh sorry. Is there already a topic like that and I've missed it?

I think what Wholocked refers to is the general 221B Sherlock fic format, which isn't exclusive to this forum. I know it from LiveJournal and other fanfic communities. Not sure where it was first "invented".
A fanfic prompt thread sounds like a great idea. I'd be all for it. Already have an idea, so maybe I'll just get it started.

Title: Five Things Sherlock Doesn’t Know About John
Author: TeeJay
Genre: Gen
Characters/Pairings: John, Sherlock
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Dragonflies, felonies, The Holy Grail, a Ferris wheel, and Afghanistan. John is fairly sure Sherlock doesn’t know about any of them.
Author's Note: Written for cascadewaters’ prompt in the comment-fic LiveJournal comm. My apologies, cause this hasn't been beta'ed.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Belongs to Doyle, Moffat, Gatiss, the BBC and whoever else might wish to claim ownership. I'm just borrowing.

Nice fic, TeeJay. An interesting concept.
Just to say that I have added chapter three to my fanfic 'Maelstrom' if anyone is interested -
Is it ok to keep giving links to new chapters, or do people find it irritating? I won't be offended if the latter is the case, I'd just like to know so as not to irk people!

Alright, this is a serious crossover written by myself and someone who is quickly becoming a very good friend over on AO3. I'm dying to write sci-fi stuff (as you all already know very well) and she's dying for some Harkness...so I present to you: What's Past is Prologue. (

Forgive me if I've posted in here before. I have written several fics and have both an AO3 account and an FF account. The ones on the latter account are more uptodate than on AO3.
Um... *nervous*
Here's my ff account:
And on AO3 (Beware not fully updated with some fics):
I'll do them in order shall I?
An Introspective Series [COMPLETE]
A Study In Pink: An Introspective Look
Sweet Silver Bells
Oh Brother Of Mine
Baker Street Drabbles [PROMPTS WELCOME]
Never To See The Stars Again [Pt1 of the Stars Series] [COMPLETE]
Doctor Holmes
A Study In Impossible Things
And The Stars Shone Brightly [Pt2 of the Stars Series] [ALMOST COMPLETE!]
Cold Body Warm Heart [BBC Sherlock/Warm Bodies Crossover]
Uh...yes ok. I also do fanfic covers if people want.

I am currently working on this:
'The On-Call Corpse'
I must warn you, it has themes of angst, drama and pain.
