Did you see Sherlock's wedding pictures video on John's blog? I love that it ends with a photo of the two of them.

So did I.
But as Sherlock directed the film, I assumed it was just to show that he was the best man...and it was on John's blog, so most would be interseted in them.

In canon, after Watson meets Mary there are quite a few things Holmes does that are kind of "wooing," showing special concern for his health (the state of his injury), SERENADING WATSON TO SLEEP WITH THE VIOLIN, and bragging, "You have never recognized what a good housekeeper I am."

He does have nice things to say about Mary, though. He tells Watson he's against his getting married because he's against all emotion...but we can read between the lines.

Johnlock forever. Done. Nothing that happens or doesn't happen, whoever comes along or doesn't come along, nothing will ever change the love between those two men. With or without sex, the two of them have the deepest of connections and always will, and to me, that's true Johnlock. *happy sigh*

There were some delicious Johnlock moments in this episode. I could kiss Moffat for writing what he did, not just Sherlock-John interactions but also showing us a more human, more likeable, funnier Sherlock, one who doesn't always come up with answers to every damned thing, seemingly out of the ether. I LIKE this Sherlock way more than any they've shown us up to now, and he and John are just lovely together-- They always were, but now it's....deeper.

The best man speech was totally too long, disjointed, silly and almost stoopid in parts-- like something out of a slapstick vaudeville skit. But at the heart of it, Sherlock's esteeming his friend, using the L word to describe what he felt for him, and then John pushing back his chair and reaching out to hug him, OMG, I cried real tears.

I cried again when Sherlock played the violin while J/M danced.

And when the three of them were discussing the pregnancy, at one point, John reached up and cupped his hand around the back of Sherlock's neck. It's okay, mate, the three of us will get through this, together.... both of their faces were beautiful pieces of work.

Love, love, love... it makes the world go 'round, and yes, it comes in all shapes and sizes. Johnlock forever. Done.

He is alone, but somehow, it doesn't sadden me, because I believe he prefers it that way, in his heart of hearts. He sees that everyone seems to have someone (except for Lestrade, apparently), but as long as the ones he cares about are warm and safe and in the hands of someone who will take care of them, Sherlock believes his job is done for the moment, and he can move on to the Important Things of Life, his casework.

I loved this episode and how we were allowed to see some emotional growth in Sherlock, like watching a flower open in the sun. Mary has brought love into John's life, and for some reason she's decided she LIKES (maybe even loves) Sherlock-- for the first time, this woman John's taken up with isn't trying to get his John away from him, so Sherlock has embraced her, embraced the J/M relationship, and in doing so, his life has been enriched. It was lovely to see.

I know the next episode will be way harder to watch than this one. This one was a treat-- a banana split with three flavors of toppings and a cherry on top (I guess that would be me, lololol)

But yeah, Sherlock's in love with John. He's had to watch his straight friend choose a woman for companionship and love, but BECAUSE he's in love with John, he wants only the best for him, only what will make John truly happy. This, to me, is true agape love-- emotionally odd and stunted as Sherlock is supposed to be, he's mature and wise enough to instinctively know how to love and how to show true love to the object(s) of his affection. And that means he'll never truly be alone-- although separated from John and living in a different place from him, Sherlock has now publicly declared his love for the man, and so... Sherlock can go and do his work and be content that all is being worked out in the way it's supposed to be. John is in his heart, as Sherlock is in John's, and none of that can be a bad thing.

One of my absolute favorite moments was when he had to admit to learning napkin folding on Youtube.

Yes, that was just darlin', wasn't it, him plopping down cross-legged on the floor, all that delicious Sherlock-attention focused on the damned napkins, lol.

And every time he tells John "I don't know" about something, it blesses me all over again-- Sherlock Holmes, and he doesn't either know everything or pretend to know everything! I love it.

I didin't catch what Sherlock said when John and Mary went off dance, but it sounded suspiciously like something about having taught John to dance.

Sherlock said he had been giving John dancing lessons.
John said; yes, behind closed curtains at Baker Street. Mrs Hudson caught us once, wonder how those rumours started,

I didn't get any of that. Can't wait to get my DVDs in a month or so, soon as they're released here in the US. Love those subtitles....

I didn't get it either. I definitely have some problems hearing the dialogue. But oh, this is a marriage of "three" all right...

We have to wonder: did Sherlock teach John to dance JUST for the purpose of practicing for the wedding...or were they...practicing...before. Sherlock refers to the rumors about them, and certainly those rumors were in existence even before he disappeared.

Did we have any indication before this that Sherlock could dance? Or play the violin, for that matter? (That one is from canon, and he has been known in canon to serenade his Watson, sometimes even to sleep. But I don't think he's ever danced in canon...hasn't been to enough social events.)
