Greetings
Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Gene. I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm originally from Kiev, Ukraine. My family immigrated to America when I was 10.
I have been a big Sherlock Holmes fan for many years now. I have read the original novels many times. I'm a big fan of Granada Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett. I also love the Russian Holmes series with Livanon and Solomin. I'm also a big fan of Case Closed/Detective Conan the anime series. Hence my screen name.
I have seen only 2 episodes of BBC Holmes so far, but loved them. Its a good series that does not insult the original novels like some other Holmes portrayals do.
Some of my other hobbies include, literature, philosophy, christian apologetics, science, DIY engineering stuff, and music.
I was a member of Holmesian.net for years, until it recently died. Such a shame. I hope I can make this website my new home. Looking foward to having interesting discussions with you!
