Not quite a review but seeing as we don't have a "General Series Three Discussion" section, thought I'd stick it in here.
What are your top three favourite moments of Series Three? Those moments that made the series for you. Mine are:
1. Sherlock's Wedding Speech
2. Sherlock attacking Mycroft when he was high
3. Sherlock shooting Magnussen

A little bit at random - and subject to change probably:
- Mycroft's desperate call from the musical performance
- Mary becoming a client
- All Archie scenes

For me...
1) for sheer cinematography, Sherlock getting shot and his trip to the mind palace.
2) Sherlock and John on the drink
3) sherlocks wedding speech

Sherlock's Wedding Speech a "moment".... I have to think about that.

Let me think ...this is not easy.
- the mind palace scene in HLV
- the wedding speech
- the smoking scene with Sherlock and Mycroft
Offline
1. Sherlock's wedding speech
2. Sherlock and John drunk
3. Fake theories

Difficult...
1. The best man speech
2. John and Sherlock playing the Sherlock/Madonna game
3. The mind palace

I agree, Swanpride... how about five? Please, five!
Okay, three then:
- the moment when John realises the waiter is Sherlock...
- Sherlock and John being drunk, the whole sequence
- Mind Palace in HLV

Oh, if that's how we define moments I think I can do this.
1: The Empty Hearse
2: The Sign of Three
3: His Last Vow
Ok, seriously, this is hard, so many great moments, I'm going for lines
1: 'The game is never over. There may be some new players, but that's ok, the east wind takes us all in the end'
2: 'Upon which depends the security of the free world, yes. And you've got potatoes on it'
3: M: 'I'm not lonely, Sherlock' S: 'how would you know?'

Drunk John and Sherlock (chair, sitty thing)
'What's wrong? Did I do it wrong?'
The Holmes boys nearly being caught smoking by Mummy Holmes!

Mother Holmes catching the boys smoking. I liked that entire scene and how it ended with Mycroft letting Sherlock know how much he means to him.
Tossing the hat and playing deductions.
Anthea slipping the coat on Sherlock's shoulders and the symbolic way that it showed that Sherlock was back.

Even if it was three moments of each episode, I would have a hard time picking, but three moments altogether? But I tried my best.
1 'Because you chose her' ... 'But she wasn't supposed to be like that'
I found the whole scene - plus the scene in the empty house (gosh, I love the empty house!) very, very heartbreaking and emotional.
2 Sherlock getting shot and Sherlock's Mind Palace.
Absolutely stunning! I could watch it again and again.
3 Sherlock and John being drunk.
This was just so much fun.
(4, 5, 6, 7, 8, ... the fake fall solutions, the scenes with Mycroft and Sherlock, Lestrade hugging Sherlock, the fireplace scene with John and Mary, 'I heard you', Archie, Sherlock laughing at John at the end of TEH, Sherlock slapping himself in TSOT, Sherlock hearing voices, Mrs. Hudson's background story, John being a BAMF, John being a doctor, ... Sorry, couldn't help myself!)

The opening sequence of Ep1. Outrageous in every way.
'She wasnt supposed to be like that'. Heartbreaking.
'Fffff' 'cough' 'Oh dear'.

Ok, I'm going to try, but my choice might change on a daily basis (not No. 1 though, but the others).
1. The whole "but she wasn't supposed to be like that" scene in HLV. Left my heart shattered in millions of pieces.
2. The whole reunion of John and Sherlock in TEH. How can something be so heartbreaking and so funny at the same time?
3. John asking Sherlock to be his best man in TSoT. How Sherlock told it and how it actually happened. Again, funny and touching at the same time.
Were this already three? Not enough!

1. Mind Palace in HLV
2. The Stag Night in TSoT
3. Sherlock revealing himself to John in TEH
Offline
1. Sherlock's exit at end of TSOT - wrapping his coat around him, task done, a relief.
2.. Les Miserables Mycroft phone call.
3. Brilliant Empty House scene/set/sequence.

Not carved in stone, but here it goes:
1. Sherlock intermediating in Bakerstreet in HLV.. such a powerful scene, I am still spellbound ( I do not remember anything that was said, but just his face going weaker and weaker..)
2. Mind Palace in HLV.. the cinematography, the acting, the feels
3. The stag night, especially "sitty thing" and "waky waky"

I am still pondering about my personal order of all nine episodes, but I think, after rewatching series 3 again last weekend, I am fairly sure about my favorite three moments now:
1. Mind Palace scene in HLV while Sherlock got shot
2. the scene with Sherlock on the terrace of Appledore after he shot CAM (it still makes me cry seeing little Sherlock crying and Mycroft's terrified face)
3. the stag night of course
Offline
1. The Mind Palace scene.
2. The Molly/Sherlock kiss (hee hee).
3. The stag night.
But there were sooooo many fab scenes! So hard to narrow it down to just three.
