Empty Hearse Review

It's a nice one. I found this whilst googling whether the Anderson theory was for real or not and stumbled across this cool review of the entire ep:

Actually, it makes an interesting point about the "how he did it" reveal, which I can "sort of" accept...reluctantly...

As Anderson speculated at the end, when Sherlock gave him a version of what occurred that may or may not have been the truth, why would he tell him (let alone us) the truth? Telling us how he faked his death would ruin the mystery, wouldn’t it? A bit like finding out the Doctor’s real name in Doctor Who. By never really allowing the viewer to know this great secret, a certain element of mystery is maintained in regards to this particular aspect of the show.

Re: Empty Hearse Review

This is a good review indeed. And I have been at peace with the solution whatevery it may be for quite some time. I always had the feeling that it would be impossible to satisfy all the audience after speculating for two years and coming up with more and more elaborate theories. The thing I was looking forward to most was how Sherlock's return would affect his friends and how he would settle into a changed world. And that has been answered quite beautifully.

I also wrote a review for TEH that I've posted my LiveJournal: http://tj-teejay.livejournal.com/138985.html

The one for TSoT is here: http://tj-teejay.livejournal.com/139211.html
