How Moriarty must have faked it.

Will contain immense spoilers.

This post partly is connected to The Reichenbach Fall and His Last Vow.

Considering now, that Moriarty is not dead,(or is he really? its a mad world), we can speculate for that is all we can do to progress. I recently saw this video on Youtube and it really *bleeped* my brains out. ( I cant include any links to the video since this is my first post. Search for "Moriarty's Death: A clue everybody's missed!!!" on youtube. ). It shows that between when Moriarty was 'attempting' to kill himself and Sherlock moving back to come to his senses, Moriarty did not have any gun in his hand. The description of the video itself says that it must've been an editing error, because afterwards, the clip shows that Moriarty indeed was cold dead with a gun besides his hand. This, however convincing it may sound, might not be the case as the story progresses in season 4. The writers are known for leaving subtle clues which only a trained mind can catch, or can be detected by rewinding, etc. For the sake of this post, lets consider that Moriarty indeed was a projection of Sherlock's mind and there wasn't a gun in his hand at all. All this while, Sherlock was involved in his 'own thing'. This can be quite convincing to some, given his incredible intellect, but this won't be an interesting explanation for how Moriarty must've survived and infact would be quite off putting to fans.So lets discard that. What if Moriarty is another man supervising a puppet played by Andrew Scott? and the real Moriarty is hiding in his cave, with an immense technological benefit at his disposal, and infact he is moving these chess pieces around? This can be the another explanation, but since the writers are sticking to the real story more or less, and since much of this rather sounds mostly fan fiction, it will not be what's on the writers' mind. So lets discard that too. One description of what must've happened on the terrace of St Barts, which is always on my mind since watching His Last Vow, is that Moriarty must've switched bodies when Sherlock was talking to John over the phone, or atleast something must've happened behind Sherlock, when he was over the phone. Another one which is actually quite plausible is that Moriarty must've rigged his gun somehow(considering that that video is an editing error) so that he did not harm himself in any way, and blood also could be flown. There can be a thing like that.

That is all.
Please feel free to reply with any damn thing you can think of. The more the data, the more clear the picture gets.

Re: How Moriarty must have faked it.

I also maintain that Moriarty is truly dead and that his image was used to create a stir by some other villian.

And I will be dissapointed if he actually is alive.

They aren't sure, they think they are and tell themselves, but deep down within them they know Moffat is sitting there smirking, and anything can be.

Terrifying prospect.

Re: How Moriarty must have faked it.

I am sure that if he is still alive, I will leave the show, the fandom and the forum!

Re: How Moriarty must have faked it.

I would feel betrayed. My guess is that this was just a teaser. To wind the fandom up and to introduce a new villain... one who pretends Moriarty is still alive to draw Sherlock's attention and to keep him in London.

I wil do that if they don't get rid of Mary in the next series. I will. Promise.

Re: How Moriarty must have faked it.

I'd give it a go if its Andrew Scott playing a brother for example. He has the range to turn in a completely different charactor.performance.

Re: How Moriarty must have faked it.

well we dont know if he is dead or not... as sherlock and mycroft are surprised, could it have been mary? or john?
or was it mycroft as he smiles and says i hope you learned your lesson?
