It wouldn't be a good twist, because it would be basically like suddenly saying that Sherlock actually WAS Moriarty. A good twist is not surprising the audience, but surprising them with something they should have seen coming but didn't for one reason or another. Moffat is a too good writer to pull a stunt like that.

I don't think I could rewatch this series as many times as the other 2 - too painful
