Almost two years of Reichenbach hand-holding with fellow Forum members will be over, but a new era will begin. My fear is that Series 3 won't fit the 'head canon' of some of the fans and snarky, snarly discussions will ensue. It's so true that our expectations are at a fever pitch right now. Just stay calm everyone and remember, this is going to be wonderful entertainment. Fasten your seat belts, enjoy the ride and just go wherever Route Mofftiss takes us. The explosion of fan creativity once all is said and done will help us get through until the next.
Oh, very well said, I couldn't agree with you more!

Yeah, I know a lot of people are speculating what is going to happen to our characters as well as the cliffhanger ending. I'm no diffferent. I know that I am way off the mark in my predictions, but that's okay! XD That's the fun! If there is anything more to explore that the show leaves off, there is always fanfiction!
I'm just so excited! I can't wait!!!

I'm ok with the 3 episodes but it would be kinda nice if they spreaad them out just a bit. Maybe showing one every two weeks when they have new ones.
But still, from the writing to the production values to the way it's aired, Sherlock is like nothing else on television.,

On May 23, 2012 @ 1:53 AM I wrote on TwoP:
"This is how I imagine it will play out now: Lestrade will be pensioned off and Sally will be promoted. They will form a Holmes Revision Division and review all his old cases. Only to see rather fast that there's no way he could have perpetrated all those crimes himself. Very embarrassing. Of course Richard Brooke will be wanted for questioning. Cannot be found as Mycroft's agents have taken the corpse and stored it somewhere (perhaps at St. Bart's morgue under Molly's supervision). Kitty insists that Sherlock must have got to Brook and murdered him after the confrontation in her flat. But again: no corpse. Meanwhile her background material on him will be reviewed as well and be found out to be forged. Police scratches their heads.
Sherlock undercover might pose as Moriarty to get all the spiderwebs. No one ever got to him, remember? Hardly anyone - except perhaps Moran - knows what he looks like as he's only the faceless voice on the other end of the line. Remember the Skype conversation with General Chan? When he has unravelled the whole network he will come back with a BANG! Press conference and the whole shebang. He needs to, because otherwise his reputation will never be fully restored.
I imagine ep 1 of series 3 will open with John having nightmares again. Only this time he doesn't dream about Afghanistan, he dreams about Sherlock falling. Then the camera will pan out and we'll see that he's not alone. There's a woman in bed beside him, as he lives now with Mary (married or not, probably not, easier to part if not). This will be cut with scenes of Sherlock on his computer and flying all over the Balkans and Timbuktu after Moriarty's henchmen, bullets whistling around his ears. (yay!) When he has got them all, except Moran, he will come back. Big press conference. John punches him coram publico.
Mycroft then goes to John and gives him the telephone with the recorded conversation. "Your friends will die, if you don't." Big making up scene at 221B. Meanwhile Moran has deduced a few things for himself and tries to kill John and/or Mary. Big rescue scene. John or Sherlock get shot (only wounded). Mary decides this is not the kind of live she likes and leaves John who's now free to move back to Baker Street.
The End
At least this is how I'd like it to play out. ;-)"
I have already been proven wrong insofar that Lestrade's still there, Mary and John do get married and John punches Sherlock, but not at the press conference. As for the rest, we'll see....
Also, on the same day I predicted a motor bike chase:
"Sherlock's disguise will be the shortish ginger curls and there will be a phantastic motorcycle chase with whistling bullets! ;-D"

Well, I predict that I will go to bed shortly after the credits have rolled, because here it will be almost midnight then.
But I can't wait to come in here on Thursday morning and start reading...
Btw, I never had the one favourite Reichenbach theory, so I won't have to say goodbye to anything when it comes to the big explanation. I'll just lean back and see what they've come up with.

I reckon Sherlockology will go down...and possibly Twitter and Tumblr too XD

Why does everyone act as if the forum will cease to exist in two days? I think the opposite will happen...so much new stuff to discuss. I can't wait!
I was talking about this particular thread- not really spoilers anymore, are they? ;)
