Amanda Abbington said in an interview that part of the appeal of John and Sherlock is that they are "cute" together. Yeah okay, I guess, but I see more than cute! I see down-right beautiful together. Their opposite physicality has some kind of chemistry to it that I just can't define. All I know is that it just hits me in the gut every time I see them together in character.
Picture above with Loo is definitely not as their characters! . Naughty Martin!

The pic with MF's hand on her boob, you sure can tell they're not Puritan Americans! eeeeek, boy, would that NOT fly here, either being done in the first place, or showing up in print media.
I hate the cute word, personally. Puppies are cute. A little girl's dolly in a baby doll carriage is cute. Teddy bears are mostly cute. But full grown men? Not so much. *shrug*

One thing John does in (most) Johnlock fic is get Sherlock to lower his head, literally-- when with John in "that way", Sherlock can't stick his nose in the air like this anymore. *smile* Which delights me no end, just the idea of it. heh
Well, it's either that or climb the man like a tree.
And that's not a half bad idea either. Oh oh. THUD

I saw that interview, too, and I think she said even more than just 'cute'. But I don't remember right now.
Anyway, I agree, they are far more than just cute together. They look great together, they complement one another, in terms of appearances as well as in terms of their respective character. When you look at them, it just feels absolutely right, they feel absolutely right together. A dream couple, whether you wanna see it as bromance or romance.

I don't think so...I checked it against screencaps of the scene and found one just like it...

It certainly does lend itself to a bit of 'Johnlock' fantasizing...

Hell, yeah. But to you and I, KP, most everything that has the two of them in the same frame does.... *winking back*

In that one I've always liked the fact that John is looking at the camera and Sherlock is looking at John.
