Btw: Is there any fanfiction with popping buttons? (without John's help, I mean.) Can't remember anything like that...

btw: Who will have to sew the buttons on - just in case? Mrs Hudson?

Well, someone just recently told me about existing sewing-service. You can bring it there and pay for it.

Btw - my son owns a dark winter coat. He said - and that was his idea - that he was willing to have a red button-hole stitched on it. Does anyone know who does such things? Alteration tailors?

Yes, a tailor, or any seamstress. We have a tailor shop in our small town, someone who could literally remake a garment if necessary. But for small jobs like the simple buttonhole you're talking about, I would just take it to my dry cleaner's, where they have a seamstress who works with them. They send stuff out to her with the client's instructions, and a few days later, it comes back all fixed or altered. It shouldn't be hard to find someone to do a small job like that-- and yay for your very cool son!

I had my red button hole done at a very small alteration shop. I chose a red from all the red yarn they had in stock, picked my coat up after two or three days and finally paid 2,50 Euros.

Isn't it interesting that Sherlock doesn't own a single shirt that really fits him?
What the heck was the clothing department thinking?

I did my red button hole myself.
And well, if there isn't a fanfic yet with popping buttons, our Santa Fic Exchange might be the perfect opportunity to change this!

Once again, tobe: perfect!
I'd say the costume department was thinking 'let's drive those little fan girls - and there will be little fan girls, just look at the man! - out of their minds with those shirts!'.

Well, it worked...

And before filming begins again Benedict thinks "Oh f***", how will I fit into those shirts?"

He looks dead skinny at the moment.

But not unhealthy.

He looks mighty fine.

Could not agree more. As can be seen here:

But to tell you the truth, I like him better on the gif that can also be seen on that linked page... his face doesn't look all that slim there.
