It will be a lot, my English grammar is rubbish. Pitty, that nobody can beta-read the story. I hope somebody can help me correcting the mistakes afterwards.

I can have a look at it if you like.

No problem! And hey, take your time- you've got two weeks to finish it!

I guess we should all try to have as much fun with this as possible. I'm sure that nobody expects a perfect fanfic (and how boring would that be? ). This will also be my first fanfic written in English, so you probably will have to bear with me at times. And I also won't be abe to fulfill all the wishes I got for the story I have to write, so I hope fulfilling some of the wishes will also be fine...

Exactly, to me that is what is most important. Having fun!
I have been formulating my story idea all day, and I think I'm finally ready to start writing! *squeak* I hope it doesn't turn out to be a total disaster  , hehe! And hopefully I don't end up making it too long

Re: Secret Santa Fic Exchange 2013

It's also my first Sherlock fanfic - and I already regret it!

Solar, you could help me out in case of further writer's block - I'll let you know

Re: Secret Santa Fic Exchange 2013

Harriet, I'm not so sure I'll be able to help (I actually could need some help myself... ), but of course I'll try, so don't hesitate to ask.

Re: Secret Santa Fic Exchange 2013

Mine is not going to be any longer than it already is, I don't think. However, I have two weeks so if the inspiration strikes I will expand it out.

Also, whoever said they can't have it beta-read...why not? There's no harm in asking someone to look over it I think. I'm a native English speaker and I'd be happy to help anyone out who wants some help. Maybe just don't send it to whoever your recipient is supposed to be hehehe

Wow, I had quite the opposite problem - the request I've got was so broad, unspecific, that I panicked al little, wishing for more specific requests.

You didn't get my request, by any chance...?

No.

(Which I would say either way. )

Yeah...can't ask a question like that! So we can all sit here wonding if it's our prompt that's been picky or vague!

I got a great prompt; though it lends itself to quite a short fic. I'm feeling bad about that.

Well, I didn't really expect to get an honest answer to my question...!

No.

Re: Secret Santa Fic Exchange 2013

, Harriet.

All I know is that I probably screwed up with my request as well as with mentioning the stuff I'd rather not write about...
