Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Well. So it was definitely worth the wait. How shall I be able to concentrate on... anything else?!

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

No way, Solar. You leave your concentration at the door when entering the Sherlock universe.

I would like to add that IMO his curls never looked better. They were sometimes a bit too coiffed for my taste but this here  … I think I am going down again.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Don't distract me from those curls!!

Oh, but as for the face: I'm not sure, I guess it never looked as thin as in the pilot and throughout Series 1. On that Kodak I wouldn't think thin at all, but on that pic from the teaser in our forum banner... thin, agreed.

Make up. Airbrushing. In all his public appearances that I saw during the filming of S3, I didn't notice any more thinness than usual. It's easy to highlight and airbrush in some wild cheekbones.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

To me he looks quite slim at the moment if you take the TIG filming pics and current interviews. At least regarding the cheekbones which is not a bad thing.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Exactly. Or if you take a look at my sig. But then Alan Turing ran marathons so I suppose he was quite slim.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

But I still do think that in Series 1 he was even thinner... to me it seems as if at that time his chin was far more pointed.

IOM he looks thin, but not unhealthy. Makes him look younger.

You are right, he looks healthy and happy on most pics. Looking forward to new photos from tomorrow's Britannia Awards.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

I agree, he doesn't look unhealthy at all, it's all fine.

or here:

Um, he's what those in the know call an ectomorph--- this is his body type, so he will always be "slim", since he was lucky in the genetic roulette of egg meets sperm in that way. He actually has a little padding on his cheeks and under-chin area here in this image. Back in the beginning of Sherlock, he'd apparently half-starved himself to fit the role. I'm glad he doesn't seem to be doing that anymore.

Can I just say that we are obviously not the only ones swooning over pictures of Benedict? I'll just leave this here.
