Ha! Love it.... of course, it immediately made me also think of one other moment that fits with that. John's reaction to sweetness with Mrs. Hudson, John's reaction to "sweetness" with Irene, and then can't forget John's reaction to Sherlock being actually 'sweet' just one other time, to Molly:
Of course, Martin being awesome, his expression flickers so quickly between 'wait...what??' to checking out Molly's response, to 'did I just hear that?' to 'wow... wait.. what is he doing?' I could hardly decide which shot to define the moment with..... Just needs the caption slapped on.
"Who are you and what have you done with Sherlock?"

Love those shots.
I think Martin is exceptionally good when it comes to displaying emotions, and by this I mean any emotion. He really is such a free actor. I think he never worries about what others think or if something he does might look ridiculous or not. Before "Sherlock" I knew him from "The Office", "Bruiser", "The Robinsons", "Hitchhiker's Guide", "Nativity" and I think he is just getting better and better. He has the ability to make perfectly ordinary people seem special and heroic somehow.
The same goes pretty much for Amanda, by the way, whom I've come to appreciate a lot over the past few months ever since I saw her in "Mr. Selfrigde".

Thought this moment was great: "Really? Come in! Kettle's just boiled."

If I didn't know the line or the context, I'd say there's an almost introspective sadness to his expression here. Makes me want to make it all better somehow

I want to hug him every time I watch the end of TRF

Conflicted. On the one hand, he believes in "the work" and will stick to Sherlock and his agenda like glue, as long as he's allowed to. On the other hand, he's in love with the man (whether just as a friend, as both original canon and all canonized versions since have shown us, or romantically, as our fan fic shows us), and so he must be truly, madly, deeply scared to the roots of his hair about losing him, about the world at large losing him. Poor John-- he has a tough row to hoe, standing beside Sherlock. Always has had, ever since ACD's genius invented their characters. But conflicted as John may be, he also relishes the danger and intrigue, and probably even the fame and recognition they both receive from the public.

Martin Freeman should *always* wear that color. OMG... I don't often thud about the dear man, but I feel one coming on, just seeing him in this shirt. (and yeah, it doesn't take much, does it, lololol)

And speaking of the Finkels, everyone's seen this clip from the movie, right? Not to be missed. Lovely, lovely Martin's acting, it just blows me away sometimes, and the smiles and tears here melt me, every single time I watch this.

Anyone else think that he looks like Grumpy Cat here?

Yes. Although I'm a bit fed up with the "animal comparisons" of Martin and Ben. But still, I can't help it.....

I don't mind them so much, just part of the fandom But that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw that pic XD
