Damn, that's a beautiful shot.
Can we also just appreciate the fact that this thread already has 101 pages?
This one's definitely one of my faves!

And I was just sitting here thinking how much I hate it, lolol. Each to his own. *smile* How did Ben get his face to do that, or is it photoshopped or something? Laurel and Hardy lives again....

I do believe Ben's face is made of rubber. Stunningly beautiful rubber, but rubber none the less..

One of my faves, cause it shows the progression from the S2 read through.

However Irene tries to make her presence pronounced and John is relegated to the corner and blurry, it is the other way it looks to me, thanks to Sherlock and Irene herself

Little bit jealous, that she got to kiss Ben on the cheek

The DVD of that ep has Irene's actress chatting on one of the extra features, and she tells about how she was a big FAN of his before she ever met him. She couldn't believe she would get to act with him. There must have a special star in the sky on the night she was born, that's all I can figure. Wow.

I don't know what I would do if I ever met him. I'd love to talk to him, even for just a few seconds, but I don't know if I could get any words out with him standing right in front of me!

I've met celebrities in the past, and they've all been very gracious. They're used to meeting strangers who fawn over them, and the nice guys I've lusted over in my past have been smiley, warm, funny, and polite. It's really no sweat! Just reach out your hand for a shake, keep smiling as you say hi and introduce yourself by your first name, and tell them what an honor it is to meet them. They'll do the rest. It'll undoubtedly be short and sweet, but you'll go away squeeing and starry-eyed. It's a fabulous experience, meeting someone in person whom you've only known on TV or in the movies or as an author of books you've enjoyed.

I've seen the setlock videos of them talking to fans, Ben and Martin. They do seem to be very nice

I've always loved this scene and the choices the director made in the editing. Yeah, I know it's in the eye of the beholder, but John seems to be very jealous when Irene leans in for that kiss (mug clanking down, music grinding down like his heart and stomach sinking) and Sherlock does not seem one bit happy with that kiss. Yeah, I know he hates distractions when he's working but his facial expression clearly registers his annoyance at her presumption. And was he really showing off entirely for Irene by breaking the code so quickly? John was in the room too and just as dazzled by the look of it. Oh, so many wonderful character revealing layers to this scene; and even more ambiguity to mull over. I could go on and on. Whatever way you want to look at it, I think the director and actors nailed it!

Hahh…. kitty! That's great… I know I've enjoyed those little… what's a good word… 'trios'? and funny timing with you picking that particular last one. When I was looking for a screenshot from that crime scene for something else, it occurred to me you hadn't done that moment yet, and just absolutely loved Sherlock rattling off… notice John nonchalantly bamf… pause… silent look of understanding… Saved almost the exact same screenshots you did and was half tempted to post them myself, without wanting to jump in on! It was either those, or a moment afterwards, with amusing expressions from them again… which I think I'll toss in here on the heels of yours in similar theme and simply one moment of appreciative inspiration from…
Epic expressive stares and casual banter over, now let's head to dinner.

Just to point out, they're not my screencaps. I get them all from here:
I do enjoy it, though
