I said "yeah. There is only one!!"
Ended up explaining the whole thing to her - she thought it was brilliant!

No one at my post office thought any of it... but when I bought my socks and mentioned they would be sent to England so no worries on returning them the girl there said "So, your boyfriend is English then?"

I think she was a little confused after that, poor girl. She was lovely! Although she did pull the same number that I heard someone pulled on Ben and instead of one pair I walked home with 3.

Is it weird that I bought a pair of striped socks and one with dots today that I will wear in honour of Benedict? I don't usually wear coloured socks, since at work I usually have black leather shoes to go with my business casual look. But I might just get away with the more subdued dark green and grey stripey socks I bought today.

What's worse... mine are men's socks. (Yes, I have rather big feet.) In my defence, both pairs together were just 5 EUR.

I sometimes wear mens socks when they are obviously too big for
me.
Then again, as far as I'm concerned they should be just differenet size socks.
I don't recognise these silly distinctions between mens and womens clothing....how can most clothes have gender?!
